The Elks Lodge 2036 on Edgewood Ave has earned its reputation one event at a time. Baby showers, baptism receptions, anniversary parties, and community banquets have all found a home here, and the reviews tell the story plainly: guests leave impressed. The Blue Blinds Mansion ballroom is the centerpiece, a genuinely beautiful space that can be styled to match almost any vision, from intimate family gatherings to full-scale formal affairs.

What keeps people coming back is the staff. Betty and her team handle the planning details so hosts can actually enjoy the day. Paired with Husk and Vine catering, the food matches the setting: real banquet cooking served with care, not cafeteria trays and lukewarm chafing dishes. That combination of a stunning room and dependable service is exactly why the lodge holds a 4.3-star rating across dozens of honest reviews.

The Elks have operated lodges across America for well over a century, rooted in community service, charitable giving, and looking after veterans. Lodge 2036 carries that tradition forward right here in Smithtown, NY, turning a historic fraternal hall into one of Long Island's most versatile event destinations.

What We Offer

The Blue Blinds Mansion ballroom is available for private events of nearly every kind. Families have hosted baby showers, baptism parties, birthday milestones, and holiday celebrations here. Corporate groups, nonprofit fundraisers, and community organizations regularly book the space for meetings and banquets.

Husk and Vine provides full catering services for events held at the lodge, offering banquet-style menus designed to feed a crowd without sacrificing quality. The kitchen handles everything from cocktail-hour spreads to multi-course sit-down dinners, and the team coordinates directly with event staff so nothing falls through the cracks.

Beyond private events, Lodge 2036 supports its members through Elks national programs including youth scholarships, veteran assistance, and community service initiatives. Membership connects you to a network of lodges across the country and to a local chapter that genuinely invests in Smithtown and the surrounding community.

"I had my sons baptism here on 4/8 and I couldn’t possibly have been more pleased with it from start to finish. Betty along with her staff made the entire party and it’s planning go seamlessly. They went above and beyond with decorating ( even cutting my flowers for the centerpieces) They were so pleasant to all of our guests and extremely accommodating with the 30 children and about 90 adults we had at the party. Multiple guests at the party called and told me how much fun they had! The venue itself is very beautiful with lots of parking. It’s very reasonably priced - especially for a party as big as mine. The food was great and they have a great selection to choose from if you decide to go with the catered option. I’m not going to lie, when I heard Elks lodge I was expecting a somewhat run down VFW type venue but I couldn’t have been more wrong! I would recommend this place over and over!"

"Had my daughter's Sweet 16 here. Nice room, food was good too. Price was reasonable.Lots of parking. Why the 2 rating? Dealing with the cranky and arrogant catering manager. They are impossible to get in touch with to book the event. Rarely get a callback when you leave a message. And when making the final arrangements for the event in person, Lizzy was opinionated and arrogant. The staff on the day of the event was outstanding! Elizabeth is costing the elks lodge money in lost bookings, and hurting your reputation."

"Adorable set up, good food, great service. I went to a wedding here and it was comparable to a "fancy" location. The buffet meal was a very nice touch. The staff did everything they could to make sure everyone was happy, fed, and having a good time. They went above and beyond for the new couple. The only thing I didn't like was that I'm pretty sure the liquor was watered down. I have the tolerance of a 12 year old and usually one rum and coke makes me tipsy and I stop. I had 3 and barely felt it."
